Raised on a steady diet of funk, the syncopated nature of life becomes a little easier to adapt to. Things are not always linear, you can’t expect everyone to fit inside the same grid, at the same time. Learning to go with the flow while putting your own touch of creativity on your work is key.
It’s not easy though. To create the funkiest groove ever made, it makes sense to include a bit of rest along the way. You have to let the vibes fill their own space. Too much repetition is boring. You can’t force things or it will be too square, ya dig?
